Abbie began dancing under the direction of Tina Angelle, the former owner of Dance Dynamics, at the age of 5. As a young dancer, she competed in dance & power tumbling for 13 years, was a class assistant, completed dance instructor courses, and was a member of the Carencro High Dazzlers & USL’s Ragin Jazz before relocating to New Orleans to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology. Upon graduating in 2006, she moved to Las Vegas to train in dance for a year before returning home to begin her career as a hydrogeologist. In 2009, she came back full circle to where her dance career began and became the new owner & director of Dance Dynamics. Her drive and determination have propelled the studio forward into a highly respected and innovative force within the dance community.

Carencro native Mary Dugas has been involved with dance most her life. She graduated from a local dance studio in 1996 and has 17 years total dance experience. Mary spent 4 years as a Carencro Dazzler and served as co-captain in her junior year. She attended the UDA national finals in Orlando, Florida her sophomore, junior and senior years. Mary was a competitive power tumbler for 5 years and from 1997 to 1998 was a Gator Girl for the Louisiana Ice Gators.

In addition to helping maintain an efficiently run office & dance events, Mary has managed a veterinary practice for 16 years. When asked about her work with Dance Dynamics, Mary says “I have really enjoyed being able to watch these children grow all these years as dancers and people ... including my 14 year old daughter! It has been a joy!”

Elizabeth LaFleur was raised in Grand Prairie, Louisiana. She studied dance for 7 years at local Ville Platte studios, then ballet for 4 years at Lafayette Ballet Theatre. She is a senior at University of Louisiana at Lafayette working towards her bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts with a concentration in Dance. She has instructed dance at Christian Youth Theater and at Dance Technique & Performance for 5 years. Elizabeth has a passion for teaching ballet & pointe and says, “sharing her knowledge of dance with children brings a special joy and blessing to her life.”

Veteran dancer Megan Begnaud was a student of dance for 13 years, 4 of which she worked as a class assistant. She has been an instructor for 7 years and has an eye for detail and technique that she instills in each of her students. During her school years, Megan was a member of the Dazzlers for 4 years. She was a part of the national competition team her sophomore and senior years, serving as lieutenant her senior year. She was also a Girl Scout from Kindergarten all the way through to her senior year. Megan has earned many honors, including Student Ambassador with People to People in 2006 and Honor Graduate of Carencro High’s class of 2007.

Megan has recently begun her third year as a fourth grade teacher at Live Oak Elementary, which enables her to understand and relate to her younger students on every level. She enjoys teaching children, she says “because of the challenge and accomplishment that comes from teaching. I am always so proud to see girls who walk into my class grow throughout the year and make big accomplishments in dance.”

Diamond is a dancer and dance instructor from New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended Benjamin’s School of Dance in Louisiana, Ultimate Dance in Texas, and has 9 years of cheer training at many cheer gyms in Louisiana. In 2010, she graduated from Passion Dance Center, where she was a member of the Golden Hearts Dance Krewe & later became an assistant to CEO Tamika Jett. Diamond attends University of Louisiana at Lafayette studying Political Science with a minor in Dance. She is also a member of ULL’s Infinity dance crew. She trained with Broadway Dance Center’s professional training program in New York City this summer. While in New York, she worked alongside names like Laurieann Gibson for the Pulse Tour NY. Her notable performances are the Beyoncé XLVII Super bowl halftime show, Beyoncé’s music video “Blow,” Essence Music Festival with Nefatari opening for Diggy Simmons, and Bayou Classic Fan Festival with Choppa & Whittney.

Leslie was a dancer at Dance Dynamics for 16 year, graduating in 2000. She spent 15 of those years competing in tumbling. In 2000, Leslie was a member of the USA National Elite Tumbling Team, traveling the world with the team. She was also a ULL cheerleader for one year while pursuing her degree in nursing. Leslie has worked at Women's and Children's Hospital for the last twelve years as an RN in the neonatal intensive care unit. She has 4 years of experience as an instructor with Dance Dynamics. Her daughters, Emma & Reese Suire, are following in her footsteps as talented dancers & tumblers.

Tyler began training 10 years ago in different styles of street dance, such as Hip-Hop, Bboying, House, and Funk, at studios in New York City such as Peridance, Steps on Broadway, PMT, Broadway Dance Center, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He has performed at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, for Hoctor Dance Company in Time Square, as a featured dancer in MTV's Cupid Shuffle Music Video, and as a featured extra/choreographer in Big Sky's Motion Picture "Spring Break 83." He has been performing for the past 8 years at the Louisiana Festival De International and is active in street dance competition through out the United States. Tyler is also a touring artist for the Young Audience Company (New Orleans Branch). Their group, Rhythm/Soul, travels to Louisiana schools and libraries performing their show "Think Positive.”
